Kimberly Wiefling





Kimberly Wiefling is a business leadership and project management consultant with over 15 years of experience delivering critical business results and helping leaders, companies and teams get unstuck. She has successfully helped small businesses grow, and enabled large businesses to bring successful products to market with greater predictability and fewer nasty surprises. She enables teams to get great results even amid challenging and unpredictable circumstances.

An education in physics and a broad range of experience with engineering teams uniquely qualify her to successfully engage technical professionals. A lively and engaging speaker, she presents on a wide range of inspiring topics to corporations, government agencies, universities and civic organizations. She designs and facilitates interactive workshops and off-sites on topics including project management, breakthrough thinking, creativity, and "getting unstuck." She provides executive and professional development coaching to individuals in the Silicon Valley.

Prior to launching her consulting practice in January 2001, she was the VP of Program Management at Outride, Inc., a Xerox Parc spin-off, where she established sensible and effective product development practices. Her leadership in this 40 person company, ultimately purchased by Google, was written up in the Dallas Morning News under the title "Kinder, Gentler Layoffs Build Good Will".

Kimberly led the cross-functional team that successfully developed and launched ReplayTV's second-generation personal television service and set-top box, including the 'Panasonic ShowStopper', Replay's first retail consumer electronics product. Prior to joining ReplayTV, she was a program manager at Candescent Technologies. Before that Kimberly spent 10 years at Hewlett-Packard where she served in a variety of engineering, management and product development roles in the fields of timing devices and analytical instrumentation.

Kimberly earned a Masters of Science degree in Physics from Case Western Reserve University and a double major in physics and chemistry from Wright State University. She is an instructor with UC Santa Cruz Extension and University of Phoenix, and she holds a certificate in program and project management through UC Santa Cruz where she is currently an instructor in the Project Management Certificate Program and the Management Institute for Leadership and Excellence.
